I've been told this is an old wooden cookie mold. More specifically, it was used to make glutinous rice balls, coconut candy, and offering balls filled with flowers and rice. These molds likely date from 1880-1930. The wooden molds are handmade. I absolutely love these wooden molds! Very decorative, great for decorating the kitchen, for example, but where wouldn't they be?
